Living with Olivia Cadence Donovan

January 14 - 25

Emily has been living with Olivia her whole life. Olivia is her best friend and roommate, her protector and her downfall. She can be extraordinarily difficult and time-consuming but she is always there. Olivia is Emily’s Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Living with Olivia Cadence Donovan is a play about not just surviving but living with OCD.

At the Young Centre for the Performing Arts until January 25. For tickets and more information, click here.

Casimir and Caroline

January 14 - February 9

Casimir and Caroline is a play about love in the cold atmosphere of modern capitalism. We follow these ultra star-crossed lovers, as they navigate clingy co-workers, sketchy best friends, questionable HR representatives, the playboy boss, that powerhouse from the Montreal office and those beautiful few who might actually possess an ounce of wisdom. They all desperately long for something more. None of them can say what that might be. But at least their lives look #goals on Instagram.

At Streetcar Crowsnest until February 9. For tickets and more information, click here.

Sweat

January 14 - February 2

Toronto Premiere: For twenty years, a group of friends working at a steel mill decompress at the local bar. When rumours surface that the company is considering layoffs and flyers are hung to recruit non-union workers for less money, the war between community and capitalism begins and tensions start destroying not only jobs but also relationships. Filled with heart and humour, Sweat is a searing examination of industrial decline, race, politics and friendship by one of the U.S.’s most decorated playwrights.

At Berkeley Street Theatre until February 2. For tickets and more information, click here.
