The Company Theatre and Outside the March announced back in June that they’ve joined forces to bring Jez Butterworth’s Jeruslaem to the stage for the Canadian premiere in early 2018.

The production will be led by Sons of Anarchy and Bad Blood actor Kim Coates, who is taking on the role of Johnny “Rooster” Byron. He will be joined by a mix of well-known Canadian theatre, film, and television performers and up-and-coming artists.

The fourteen-member cast includes Company Theatre co–artistic director Philip Riccio, theatre actors Diana Donnelly (Shaw Festival), Michael Spencer-Davis (Stratford Festival), and Peter Fernandes (Soulpepper), and film and TV stars Nicholas Campbell (Da Vinci’s Inquest), Daniel Kash (Orphan Black), and Noah Danby (Bitten).

Rounding out the cast is a group of emerging actors: Brenna Coates (The Wolves), Katelyn McCulloch (Stratford Festival’s Treasure Island), Christo Graham (Segal Centre’s Million Dollar Quartet), Kieran Sequoia (Breaking Bad, The Night Shift), and Shakura Dickson (Cahoots and Obsidian’s Other Side of the Game).

Jerusalem opens February 15, 2018, and runs until March 10, 2018. A limited number of unconventional front-row seats, embedded on the fringe of Rooster’s campsite, are available (for individuals under 30 and/or trying to make a living in the arts).
