ECHOES OF THE WAR, Echoes of the War Collective
Reeling from the death of his son during The Great War, J.M. Barrie wrote a series of short stories about families dealing with the onslaught of World War 1. These little known pieces have rarely been performed and will surprise those who only know Barrie as the author of Peter Pan.

This kinetic political script gives voice to black women who support their men and live with a ride-or-die philosophy. A sailor has returned from a long sea voyage. He stops a man who is on the way to a wedding ceremony and begins to narrate a story. The wedding guest’s reaction turns from bemusement to impatience to fear to fascination as the story progresses.
