Next season, Soulpepper Theatre wants to prove it’s ‘more than just a place that plays happen’
“The lobby is maybe even a more important meeting place than the seats in the audience, because that’s actually where the connection happens,” says artistic director Paolo Santalucia of Soulpepper’s 2026-27 season, which will feature a suite of public programming as well as 12 productions.

Crow’s Theatre announces packed 2025-26 season, including major partnership with Soulpepper
Next season, Crow’s Theatre will stage work by Michael Healey, Dave Malloy, Eboni Booth, Erin Shields, and Tennessee Williams, among others. The company is also launching a three-year partnership with Soulpepper Theatre, which will involve four large-scale 2025-26 co-productions.

“There’s lots to grieve right now in the world,” says Kushnir. “But there are so few communal places to be with that grief. And I do think grieving in public normalizes a universal human condition: that we’ve all loved and lost something (time, a dream, a way of life) — or, more commonly, a dear someone.”
