“There's something really democratic about outdoor theatre,” says Canadian Stage artistic director Brendan Healy. “Indoor theatre spaces are awesome, but they can sometimes be intimidating and limited. For many people, Dream in High Park is their one trip to the theatre that they do every year. For many young people, it’s their first experience of theatre.”
Canadian Stage has announced its 2024-25 season, featuring an exciting roster of Toronto and Canadian premieres as well as remounts of beloved productions from across Ontario.

“So much of the conversation around AIDS is around absence and what we lost,” says Canadian Stage artistic director Brendan Healy. “But we haven’t lost everybody. There are survivors and there are people who are living with HIV, thriving. [The Inheritance] is a space for an audience, for a society, to just be with presence.”
