Theatre This Week: November 9 – 15

Collage of this week's shows' promotional images

October 29 - November 15

Warriors returning from battle
used to have to go through purification rituals
before they could rejoin their communities.
What ceremony will allow us to gather again?

A specially commissioned short play, created for and filmed in our empty theatre, Katharsis is a marking of this period when our theatre is in waiting.

Presented by Prairie Theatre Exchange. For more information, click here.

The Chemical Valley Project

November 13 - November 14

Located in Sarnia, Ontario, the Aamjiwnaang First Nations reserve and its 900 residents are smothered by one of Canada’s largest petrochemical corridors: the Chemical Valley. Siblings Vanessa Gray and Beze Gray have dedicated their lives to fighting the pollution that threatens their community’s health, safety, and future.

Presented by Broadleaf Theatre in partnership with Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine & Performing Arts. For tickets and more information, click here.

Groundswell Festival

November 10 - November 20

This November our Groundswell Festival goes digital, offering an invitation inside the creative process with readings of brand new works from our Write From The Hip playwright’s unit, led by Program Director Donna-Michelle St. Bernard, as well as opportunities to gather for provocative conversations and workshops.

Presented by Nightwood Theatre. For more information, click here.
