Theatre This Week: October 7 – 13

Ghost Quartet

October 5 - November 3

With interwoven narratives that span seven centuries comes a warped fairytale about two sisters, a treehouse astronomer and lazy evil bear. A retelling of Edgar Allan’s Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher; a purgatorial intermezzo about Scheherazade; and a contemporary fable about a subway murder.

At the Scotiabank Community Studio until November 3. For tickets and more information, click here.

Rendezvous with Madness Festival

October 10 - 20

The Rendezvous with Madness Festival (RWM) is the first and largest mental health festival in the world. The festival presents local, national and international work that explore themes of mental health and addiction issues through visual art, performance, music, theatre and dance.

At various venues until October 20. For tickets and more information, click here.

The Election

October 9 - 27

A group of theatre makers, in 2015, signed up with the Canadian Federal Election as volunteers for three major political parties. They documented their interactions. The Election explores the intersection of Indigenous, Settler, and Newcomer experiences with the political process and asks the important question of: Do we have a voice and does that voice count?

At the Theatre Passe Muraille until October 27. For tickets and more information, click here.
