An Acorn
May 7 - May 17
Over one year on from the beginning of the first lockdown we continue to be isolated and, while vaccine rollouts mean that some semblance of ‘normal’ life will return, the experience of isolation, fear and upheaval will linger with us.
We have learned in this time about our fellow humans, and while there have been moments of hope, the divide between factions feels to have grown into a chasm. Will we ever reconnect? Or has the awareness of these differences changed us forever?
The two groups of actors have never met before. You, the audience, will also receive instructions on the day for how to curate your space and how you can interact.

The (Post) Mistress
May 11 - May 16
Back when life was simple – if life was ever simple – people wrote letters. In the small town of Lovely, Ontario, every letter passes through the hands of postmistress Marie-Louise Painchaud. Cheeky and cheerful, Marie-Louise delights in living vicariously through the stories shared in letters mailed from all over the world. Featuring piano and saxophone, the musical stylings evoke these faraway places – samba, bossa nova, tango, Dixieland and Berlin Cabaret rap.

Six Characters in Search of an Author
May 5 - June 30
The curtain rises on stories left unfinished. During a routine rehearsal, six strangers show up unannounced declaring themselves fictional characters who would like a word with their author. Finding humour in the absurd, their family drama unfolds in a conflict between illusion and reality.
